The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) was founded in 1945 by scientists who had worked on the Manhattan Project to develop the first atomic bombs. These scientists recognized that science had become central to many key public policy questions. They believed that scientists had a unique responsibility to both warn the public and policy leaders of potential dangers from scientific and technical advances and to show how good policy could increase the benefits of new scientific knowledge.

SiTEL is part of the Washington Hospital Center. SiTEL improves paitient care by transforming education and training by combining innovative technologies, medical research and instruction to give healthcare workers instant, up-to-date trainging that is available 24/7. SiTEL is a fusion of 3 Dimential Multimedia, "live" trainging courses and conferences, clinical simulation and online education.

Winning Moves Games was founded in 1995. The company has forged a close relationship with the world's largest game company, Hasbro, Inc., owner of Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley games. As a result, many long-lived Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley games have been and continue to be made exclusively by Winning Moves Games. The company continues to produce a variety of games, including both retro and original designs. There are currently four Winning Moves companies in the world: Winning Moves France, Winning Moves Germany, Winning Moves UK, and Winning Moves USA.

In addition to Defense and Homeland Security projects, Ballyhoo core team members have been heavily involved in the creation of successful medical simulations and training games for healthcare providers. For example, Dr. Gerald Higgins has been a senior consultant to the U.S. military on the use of simulation-based training in medicine, with an emphasis on trauma training and life-saving procedures, for the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC); Combat Casualty Care; Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Defense Research Engineering - BioSystems (DDR&E).
